To Those Who Received God’s Great Gift: Perhaps we will meet one day?

Love is a Choice
Perhaps someday we will meet as we walk on God’s golden streets?  We will talk about the joy of being there because of God’s great gift.  This gift of love was His choice and it was freely given.  He wasn’t forced.  He didn’t have to love us.  And we certainly didn’t deserve it.  Yet, He made a choice and through grace gave the gift of faith.  Faith in His Son was given to all who would receive Him.
God’s Great Gift
“He came to that which was His own,  (the Jewish nation)  but His own did not receive Him.  Yet, to all who did receive Him, to those who believe in His name,  ( which means “salvation”)  he gave the right to become children of God – Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”  (John 1:11-13)  That is God’s great gift received through faith.  We have been given the right to become His sons and daughters. Amazing grace!
Responding to God’s Great Gift
Now the question is, “What kind of son or daughter are we?”  He has placed us in His holy family.  Our Father has given birth to our lives that are now eternal.  Doesn’t it seem right that we become the best son or daughter that we can be?  “If you love me, keep my commands.  And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever – the Spirit of truth.  The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him.  But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” (John 14:15-17)
Because you believe in His name, perhaps we will meet as we sit at Christ’s feet learning more of our Father’s ways.  In the mean time rest assured that you will see Him face to face.  Believe that Jesus asked the Father to seal you with His Spirit.  He now lives in you.  He will guide you along a narrow path until you reach God’s streets of gold.  Looking forward to seeing you there, if not sooner.  Shalom!
And by the way, on this narrow way, we are taught by Jesus how to be the best that we can be.  There are no better lessons in Scripture than His “sermon on the mount” (Matthew chapters 5-7).  We have received God’s Spirit and The Living Word.  He has left the rest up to us.
