POSTS THAT INSPIRE
Reading what others think, as they post on Facebook, is enlightening. It is an opportunity to compare your thoughts. When trying to understand the other’s point of view at the very least you will come away appreciating your reality all the more. Sometimes you will even have a change of mind and heart. On occasion their thoughts will be a catalyst God uses to refine your own. The dross is cleared away and truth is all that remains, a valuable prize.
Call it seeing the way God does. It is wonderful when that happens. This morning I read “The most valuable prize on earth is to win the affections of people, to be loved by people.” (Robert Battikha) Those words made me wonder if that is the “most valuable prize.” It is important to us to be liked and loved by others. From the class clown to the president attempts are made to win affection. Simply our NEED to be loved. Well, we are. God loves us, but that is not the point of this post. I want to tell you about the most valuable prize on earth. I will even tell you what is the most valuable prize in heaven.
The Most Valuable Prize
There is no greater prize on earth than the soul won for Christ through His efforts in you. The joy is unspeakable when allowed to participate as Jesus touches someone’s spirit. Faith is received and a soul is forgiven. Let this be your motivation on earth. Then, in heaven you will see those whom Christ saved through your witness to His love. There is no better prize than that!
“Look I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” (Revelation 22:12-13)
