Relationship: A good one starts with God.

Amazing, But True. God Desires Relationship.

I can’t imagine why God would want to be involved.  If truth is told we are stubborn and conceited troublemakers. We are manipulative and conniving. With varying degrees of passivity or aggressiveness we try to set the rules in any relationship and get frustrated and angry when we can’t. Why would God want to dwell with us?

The only reason that I am sure that He does desire a relationship is the length to which He went to create one. He came to us in the person of His Son. He died for us and now lives to have a close relationship with those who love truth.  I’m in a relationship with God.

He is God “Relationship.”

Things work according to His rules. No longer should we be stubborn and conceited. Face it. He’s stronger and knows quite a bit more than us. It’s impossible to change His mind and whining won’t help. Rules are rules. He keeps the peace that way.

God knows what will work and what won’t. That’s why He wrote down those Ten Commandments. If we find it hard to remember, and wonder if we are keeping them all, simply love and know you have them covered.

A Relationship Through The Spirit.

How amazing are the lives of those who are taught by God. Those who have come to understand that His ways are for their own good.  They are enjoying the fruit of obedience.

“To all who did receive Him , who believed in His name, He gave the right to become  children of God, who were born, not of blood nor the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13)

When Jesus is Received We Enter a New Relationship.

Hopefully we are teachable and eager to learn. It’s for our best. Jesus calls it “abundant life.” (John 10:10) But that is not the reason to learn and obey. Obedience comes from a need to be a good son or daughter in order to show our gratitude and love for our Father and Savior.

Vicki and I pray that all might come to enjoy abundant life in Christ. Praise God, it is wonderful!
