Amazing: causing astonishment, great wonder or surprise.
That is my best way to describe the gift of faith. The fact that we have it and some don’t is astonishing in it self. Why are we different? Many would teach that, “God decided to save some, but not others?” Others would say, “God’s grace is revealed through the light of the Gospel. Those who are sorrowful come to Jesus, those who prefer their sin don’t.” It is a great wonder in my mind, how anyone could refuse this amazing gift?
What a surprise it is when first noticing His hand navigating your life through His ordained events. And no less a shock when first hearing His voice. Amazing is His gift of faith.
Amazing is the gift of the Holy Spirit.
From time to time He will show you things, a time to understand. On every page of Scripture He will speak to you, if you’re listening. You will feel His grief when you know you are sinning. He will share His Joy as you do God’s will. He comes as your last resort to comfort you and will abide with you forever. How amazing is that.
“Faith Comes By Hearing.”
“And hearing through the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) This is my way to tell of God’s gifts to those who would come into the light of truth. If you hear I know the next move will be yours.
“…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, ‘Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.’ (Romans 10:9-11)
For those of you who already know these amazing gifts as part of your life, share the Gospel. It’s the way faith comes to others.
