Building the Temple of God. pg. 1

Lots of building projects going on.

Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for us in His Father’s house. While Jesus is doing this He is also building His church and His Father’s Temple. Solomon got to build one once, but it didn’t last. This one will. Oh, it may not look like much at this stage of construction, that’s why God gave us a view of the final product. This temple has to be pretty amazing for God to want to dwell in it. Just think of where He’s dwelling now.

“Thus says the Lord, ‘Heaven is My throne and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest? For My hand has made all these things, thus all these things came into being,’ declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 66:1-2)

It has to be an amazing Temple, a place for God to rest. Long ago He started choosing those who would be part of the Temple. The first are called “His chosen people.” We must see how they fit into the Temple if we want to see what God is building.

It all starts with promises God made to people just like us. If you believe God will keep His promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus to you, then also believe He will keep His word to others. To trust that He will be faithful to His word enables us to see the future. It is through prophecy that certainties are revealed.
