Building the Temple of God. pg. 3

God is building His Temple.

And He has set the territories of Abram’s sons, Ishmael and the descendants of His promised seed. I pray to my Lord that you are not bored thinking you have heard this all before. Can you describe God’s Temple? Have you seen with your own eyes God building one stone upon another? Well, if you haven’t then follow along and we will see these things together.

“Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to Him, ‘I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless. I will establish my covenant between Me and you, And I will multiply you exceedingly.’ Abraham fell on his face, and God talked with him saying, ‘As for me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you will be the father of a multitude of nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; For I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.” (Genesis 17:1-5)

What God promises is already done. “For I have made you…” They just need to unfold. Here is the everlasting promise, “I will establish My covenant between you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. I will give to you and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”  (Genesis 17:7-8)

God’s only requirement for Abraham and his descendants: “And you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be a covenant between Me and you.” (Genesis 17:11)

This is an everlasting covenant containing an everlasting possession with the declaration that God Almighty will be their God. We have no room to believe differently. Abraham and his descendants are an integral part the Temple of God.

To be continued as God builds upon Isaac, His choice.
