Attached to the Rock of our salvation.
Christ crucified is the message of the one who knows Jesus. God’s love and the forgiveness of sin is the simple message. They are words that can be understood by spirits who are broken, imprisoned, loveless and lost. It is a message of grace that is received in the heart. Faith in God’s love is the seed planted deep in the Rock who is Christ. Watered by the Spirit the child of God grows to maturity.
Growing we find ourselves reaching out to Jesus for forgiveness time and again. By clinging to the Rock of our salvation grace will free us from the bondage of sin. I have found myself clinging many, many times. Our Father loves all of His kids and Jesus will not turn the humble and sorrowful away.
His grace is sufficient.
Leaving old ways behind discover that the Scriptures “impart a secret hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification.” (1 Corinthians 2:7) The Spirit reveals what God has prepared for those who love Him. “For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.” (2:10) We have received His Spirit “that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God.” (2:12)
The destination is maturity so that we might know what gifts God has prepared. Through the word of God we are moved by the Spirit of God “for our glorification.” We are truly loved.
