Thirst.

 An Everlasting Oasis.

Makes no sense to wander in the desert when a prophecy has been fulfilled. The covenant we are experiencing now was first promised to Israel. “All you who are thirsty, come to the water! You without money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come! Buy wine and milk without money …. it’s free! (Isaiah 55:1) The poor are called to come to God who will satisfy their needs.

“Why spend money for that which is not food, your labors for what does not satisfy?” (Vs.2) The thing about coming to the water is that you will find that God is there to reason with you.

“Listen carefully to Me, and you will eat well, your soul will delight itself in fatness. Open your ears, and come to Me; listen well, and you will live …. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the grace I assured David.” (Vs.3) If we carefully listen to God’s word it is food for the soul. Food that is delightful and free. Grace is an invitation for us to come to Him, listen attentively and live.

 We came to the water.

We were thirsty and we came to Jesus entering into an everlasting covenant. Our Father calls for us to listen to Him as “a spring of water gushes up to eternal life.” (John 4:14) If you need more gushing up, drink and eat. It’s free.
