Hear and Declare.

God’s word to the nations.

God’s Spirit never fails to stir within me when I read or hear that God is done with Israel. “Jews have to become Christians now to be saved, God is done with them as a nation. We are spiritual Israel.”  God is angered by pride’s audacity that would change His word to suit their sense of superiority. The apostle Paul, in his letter to the Romans, explained the mystery and timing of Israel’s redemption.

“For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery – so that you will not be wise in your own estimation – that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the nations has come in;” (Romans 11:25) Thank God that He has not softened their hearts yet. When that day comes your unsaved family and friends will have missed the gift of God’s grace.

“Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, And declare in the coastlands afar off, And say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him And keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.” (Jeremiah 31:10) God has promised them a new covenant, but it is God’s sovereign will that the nations would be first to enter.

We are experiencing these words spoken to the house of Israel, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’  for they will all know  Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more” (Jeremiah 31:33-34)

Yes, our Father is making “one new man.” (Ephesians 2:15) Perhaps we will be the generation that becomes “the fullness of the nations,” If so, we will then witness the redemption of Israel, the fulfillment of our Father’s promise. They too will find their salvation in Jesus their Messiah in God’s time.

It is right to declare the Lord’s word to the nations, and impossible to remain silent when the Lord stirs within me.
