Excuse me for butting in.

There is something you should know.

It is amazing how good we are at backing away. Keeping our distance just to be safe. Safe from the unknown. No telling what might happen! Try to start a conversation with a random stranger and you will see what I mean. Unless your extremely engaging many will cautiously react to you, the intruder, uncertain whether to speak or just nod.

It’s a shame, but this is the world we live in. Through media we are exposed to the sin of the world. Through our relationships we have come to know the self-centered and deceitful. And let us not forget the effect of the pious and judgmental. Plenty of reason to be cautious with a stranger. Sad, but true.

Christ’s church, as it is for whosoever will.

Jesus is building a spiritual kingdom of children who are purifying themselves as He is pure. (1 John 3:3) Christ centered (It’s all about Him, and that’s the truth). All saved by God’s grace (can’t be forgiven if you’re judging). Yet, we are still holding back when we should be willing to be known.

“If God is for us, who is against us?” (Romans 8:31) “Who will separate us from the love of Christ?” (Romans 8 35) What a joy it is not to fear the judgment of others. To live life transparently is to be an example for the timid and a witness to the power of Jesus. To live in the light of truth is to help others to see.  We are not meant to hide, we have been set free.

My favorite.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard, coming down upon the edge of his robes.

It is like the dew of Hermon coming down upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing – life forever.” (Psalm 133)

God is good and worthy of our praise.
