Enter the light.
“This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” (John 3:19-21)
Said differently.
It Seems He doesn’t matter much to most, although some will pray when their needs are beyond their means. If only more would care to see the glory in His words. He spoke and the heavens came to be, all authority belongs to Him. As in the days of Pharaoh, God will reveal Himself again. But hardened hearts will turn away, kind of like today.
It seems a shame to go without when so much is offered. Peace and joy are just the start for those who are forgiven. They are children raised to know holy thoughts and ways. God Himself dwells in them, His Spirit is their guide. When placed in Christ’s care He writes His law upon their hearts. But best of all…. they are created to always be with Him.
It seems insane to turn away and choose things that are vain, the pleasures of the day. Pursuing self’s desires is chasing smoke that disappears, like dreams when you awake. To spend a few short years following self-righteous rules is a terrible waste. To seek the praise of men won’t matter when you’re dead. Worst of all there is no second chance.
It seems that in His light one can stay or run away, but hiding is fool’s play. He knows the motives of our heart and the words coming from our lips, there’s no fooling Him. He is not a man to be deceived, nor bribed by anything. God revealed Himself through His Son who died for us to live. We matter to Him. But you know that, you didn’t turn away.
Thank You, Lord. You came so that we might live. There are not enough ways to thank You. Our love for You is all we have to give, and at times it is much less than You deserve. Yet, You love us more than we can comprehend. You forgive our times of straying from Your perfect will. Then Your Spirit draws us back. We would be forever lost without You. Amazing grace. Thank you.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
