Biblical Lense

According  to your faith.

”So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

“Then  He touched their eyes, saying, ‘It shall be done to you according to your faith.” (Matthew 9:29)

Time spent reading the word of God, with a hunger to hear Him tell the story, is hazardous to the flesh. Our faith grows like Jesus said it would, “as a mustard seed.”

To sit at His feet and hear Him speak will ruin your taste for the world. The stench of the flesh soon becomes hated. Your desire becomes holiness, “unto the Lord.

That is His will for His children, holiness. “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, SO THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY HER, HAVING CLEANSED HER BY THE WASHING OF WATER WITH THE WORD, THAT HE MIGHT PRESENT TO HIMSELF THE CHURCH GLORIOUS, HAVING NO SPOT OR WRINKLE OR ANY SUCH THING; BUT THAT SHE WOULD BE HOLY AND BLAMELESS.”  (Ephesians 5:27)

As our faith grows by hearing the word of God, so will be our cleansing. How can we not honor our Father who loves us so much that He would give us eternal life? To honor Him is to be obedient to His word. To do so is the proof of faith and of our love for God.

Father, it is only through Your word that we were born again, and only through Your word is there nourishment to grow in grace. As it was in the beginning You still create through Your word. Encourage Your children to feast at Your table where You have prepared all good things. We are asking in Your Son’s name.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being.” (Revelation 4:11)
