Press On

“….forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13)

To be overwhelmed by remembrances is the bitter fruit of dwelling in the past. God’s grace is inexhaustible, His provision unmeasurable and His love beyond comprehension. Today is the day to press forward full of joy because Christ has promise to be with us till the end of the age.

Forrest Gump might have said,  “Memories are like a box of chocolates, eat them all at once and you’ll get heartburn. Best to savor them over time saving the best one for last.”

The disciple is taught one lesson at a time, graduation is the prize. “The upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Father, You have given us another day to be grateful knowing that what Jesus has begun He will finish. Thank you.

“Let us there for, as many are mature, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.”(Philippians 3:16)
