Preparing to be Sharing

Explaining a mystery requires help.

“The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8)

That was Jesus explaining our new birth. From this statement we can only be certain that our new birth is according to the wishes of God. Yet, when you believe God is “not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance,” (2 Peter 3:9) it is easy to see most don’t care about what God wishes.

It wasn’t our choice when our mother conceived, nor was it our plan for God to have children. God the Father decided to send His Son speaking words that give life. “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.” (John 6:63) Christ’s words are the seeds of creation. Seeds that must be received by man for there to be life.

“He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. (John 1:11) The Seed of Life was rejected. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”(John 1:12-13)  Without seed the soil would be barren. Without receiving the Word of God men are dead.

Our parents gave birth to flesh, God gives birth to spirit. We cannot receive the Word of God for another, nor can humans decide who is a child of God. In Pakistan the flesh gives birth to those whom man defines as Christians. This is the field where Grace Believer’s Society labors. Remote and scattered Christian villagers are hungry to hear the Word of Life. Souls are receiving the Word of God and are being born-again according to the will and wishes of God our Father. This is the ministry I pray to God, and plead with man, that they would receive help.

I can say, like the apostle Paul to the Philippians, “Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek it for your profit which increases to your account.” (Philippians 4:17) There is great joy in knowing you have a role as God demonstrates His redemptive power through the preaching of the gospel. Joy is but the interest on the increase of our faith, hope and love. Consider my plea and invitation to share in the gospel of our Lord.

As for me, I am confident God will provide for He is my help. “I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from where will my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)
