Few enter.

That’s what Jesus said.

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

Jesus knew the end from the beginning. Many souls would be destroyed and lost to eternity. That’s a hard fact to swallow. Yet, those who entered in through Christ know that it’s sadly true. We daily witness a world full of people living their own way. A way that seems right to them.  “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'” (John 14:6)

What can we do to help others find Christ? Pray! Does it matter how it happens as long as they meet? Ask the Father to draw them to His Son. Does it matter how long it will take? God knows each day that is numbered, He wont be too late. It is not by our will any are born-again, but we are told to pray.

Perhaps our Father is waiting for us to care. To care enough to pester Him pleading for another. Maybe it’s our heart the Spirit has yet to quicken, that we might see the power of prayer in Jesus’ name? Just a thought. I’ve been thinking about the “many” and some who are dear to me. God bless your day.
