Hearing Jesus

We can when we listen.

“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me and eat what is good, And delight yourself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that your soul may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, According to the faithful mercies shown to David.” (Isaiah 55:1-3)

Now doesn’t that sound like Jesus? “Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger and he who believes in Me will never thirst. (John 6:35) It should not have surprised me, but it did. With the Old Testament prophets I have always assumed to be hearing the voice of the Father, never thought about hearing Jesus’ voice there before now. You may think it slow of me to not have noticed. Well, you would be right. I am a slow learner. Thank God for His patience.

Another day another gift, a new place to hear Christ’s voice.  Thank You Father.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)
