Fixing stuff.

Close to frustration.

Somethings I dread. Plumbing is one of them. Even a simple task like taking cloged drains apart to clean them can bring me to the edge of sanity. Apart was easy, putting them back together drove me to prayer. A simple thing for others, but not so much for me. There are things I never saw my dad doing, thus no example to follow.

Jesus was raised by His heavenly Father.

“….Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son does in like manner.” (John 5:19)

“For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will marvel. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom He wishes.” (John 5:20-21)

God is now my Father.

The Son revealed the Father who is Spirit, and explained how we can become one. Watch and listen to Jesus and you will discover the secret. It is love. If we love Jesus we keep His commandments, “and he who loves me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him. (John 14:21)

This Father son relationship has taught me how to fix stuff. I pray and get my answers. Sometimes they are immediate. That time with the plumbing? He sent my wife to show me what I was doing wrong. She knows how to put stuff back together. How wonderful it is to love and to be loved.

We have Christ’s word. “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and the Father will love him, and We will come and make our abode with him. (John 14:23)

Jesus is my example now. He prayed.
