God chose a man to preach the gospel to the Gentiles, that they might know “the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:26-27)
The mystery? “Christ in you, the hope of glory,” “the riches of glory.” Truth offers itself for serious contemplation. Have we given it much thought after saying a sinner’s prayer? “Come into my heart, Lord Jesus.” This is our hope of glory….. Christ, who dwells in us, will never die again. We are Christ’s body, the church, delivered from ashes and shame receiving forgiveness and the hope of resurrection.
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” (John 14:18-21)
