Only one thing works.
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” (1 John 4:18)
Fear is common to man, although recklessness will go to extremes trying to prove otherwise. Only fools do not fear God, they “despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7) “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10) So, “….. Acquire wisdom; and with all your acquiring, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7) “…..A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.” (Psalm 111:10)
Those who do His commandments.
Good understanding is acquired through obedience. Jesus commands us to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength; and to love our neighbor as ourselves. There are plenty of ways to express our love when we believe. Trust in God’s perfect love for you, His child, and the fear inhabiting your insecurities will be cast out. It’s the only thing that works, His perfect love.
