Few find the gate.

Hard fact to swallow.

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

Talking to Sajid, our son in Christ, this morning I heard one very sad reason why few find the narrow gate. I believe the church can make a difference. All we need to do is tell the truth. There is only one way. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6) The problem is that there are a lot of liars out there. The world is in need of the truth.

How sad it was to hear a story of the blind leading the blind. A man who calls himself “pastor” tells young men, bound in their sins, that they have no hope. They are hell bound. Another will sell you the power of their prayer for as much as they can get. If you have spiritual need you must go through the priest or the reverend who stands between you and God.

Sajid was prepared and brought the good news, THE LOVE OF THE FATHER and THE FAITH OF THE SON. He brought hope, his prayers were free and he pointed to Jesus who was calling them to Himself. This is the work of Grace Believers Society in Pakistan. Reaching the lost, teaching those who thirst for the truth and making disciples so others  can work in God’s field.

I know the church can make a difference. May God guide me explaining how in the posts to follow. God bless my readers.
