Conviction

All you disciples out there HEAR YE!  HEAR YE!

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life; will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.  For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds.” (Matthew 16:24-27)

Those with faith believe these words. This is biblical doctrine regardless of any other teaching. Saved from the prison of sin by the grace of God, in whom we believe, although not perfect, yet we can really see the progress. “According to his deeds” makes sense to us, we believe in a God who is just. When learning not to put ourselves first (that place belongs to Jesus) we then receive our first gift. We “find” our life.

There are those who won’t be convinced that these word are relevant today. And there is nothing I can say that will shock them. Foolishness in their eyes. We get to look foolish, get ignored or be despised for the Lord. Why do we do it? Because we believe that it’s true. WE WERE CONVICTED.
