Mysteries and Revelations.
When you see something out of place, like this little Junco feeding a larger bird of a different species, what you’re seeing defies comprehension. This Junco is followed by two siblings capable of flying and eating on their own, yet for some reason she is compelled to feed them. At times they appear very demanding. I have caught myself speaking through the window, “Leave her alone!” Concerning birds, we have a mystery.
Unfortunately, what is uncommon in nature is becoming common in American culture. The self-centered in the pursuit of happiness seek to be served. They will never experience happiness through demands.
The secret of happiness.
In Pakistan to be happy is to be khush. My absolute favorite word in Urdu, not that I know many. To be blessed is to be happy and God tells us what that will take. Happiness doesn’t come from having every thing done for you. You have to do some doing. Asking and seeking and knocking come to mind. When we have our answers then doing what is right.
“But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in his doing.” (James 1:25)
