“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John4:24) “for in Him we live and move and have our being,” (Acts 17:28)
How amazing is that! God is everywhere, we exist in Him. To think that He would put up with all the stuff that goes on shows His patience. The Father of creation is raising children of His own, those who will be part of that which is eternal. Talk about planed parenthood! God planed for children before this world had a foundation, Jesus would be their Savior.
“And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.” (Ephesians 2:17-18)
Peace and access! “One Spirit to the Father.” This is our reality. “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household,” (Ephesians 2:19) Spiritual realities are communicated in terms we can understand. Can you see what God planned? He describes it clearly.
“having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:20-22)
Together we are the dwelling of God, in the Spirit. We are “growing into a holy temple in the Lord.” We are God’s worshipers in spirit and truth.
Father, I pray that we do not continue being children who try your patience. You have called us to be holy. In Your Son’s name we ask that Your Holy Spirit teaches us Your thoughts and ways. Amen.
