Twin Subjects: The Gospel and Faith #9

Tribulation.

“But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:29-30 NASB)

Tribulation is not a stranger to the women in this field. This work is the life of oppressed Christians who labor for their Muslim landowners. To look up and see “the sign of the Son of Man” would bring the greatest joy. A life of tribulation would be over. Their Savior would be coming to rescue them. For now, these words of Christ are the hope that sustains them. Great is the power of the gospel message that proclaims His return. Power for those who will believe.

You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved. (Matthew 10:22, 24:13; Mark 13:13 NASB) Pray for the Christians who must endure.
