Unity
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4:4-6NASB)
Division
“And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men? (1 Corinthians 3:1-3NASB)
Restoration
These verses clearly show us how contrary to the will of God we are when politics rule the church. Those in positions of authority would do well to heed the word of God. There is “one God and Father over all”. Our Father is pleased and pours out His blessings when brothers dwell together in unity. (Psalm 133) He anoints us.
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in onebody; and be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15NASB)
