Bottom Line

“God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.”
(Hebrews 1:1-2 NASB)

Bottom line/drop the mike

Nothing more needs to be said. God has spoken to us. The name of the One who made the world has now been heard by nearly everyone. Jesus, a name well known, but received only by a few. He has said what He said, and history has bore witness. God is not fooled by lip-service. He knows the condition of the heart. It’s foolish to think He will change His ways to fit ours. We are His creation.

I’ve have heard the name and believed in it. Jesus, Savior. I knew I needed a Savior. There is not a man or woman, living or dead, ignorant of the fact they are helpless when they die. The bottom line is that He will be there. God will keep His word when you trust in His grace, but He is expecting you to make use of His grace. What are you building with the grace God has given you? Our works here and now will be tested.

“If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:14-15NASB)

Two kinds of stupid

Those who hear His name, but refuse Him are the worst kind of stupid. Those who hear His name and believe in Him, but waste their time and resources are the other kind of stupid. Suffering loss with no rewards sounds like a stupid way to enter eternity. If your feeling a little irritated with me phrasing things the way I do. That’s ok. I’m trying to disturb you.  And when you’re rich in the kingdom you will thank me.

Speaking to the wise

Now that I have your attention: the baby boy in the photo is in the hands of God. His heart has a hole in it. There is no money for an operation or charity that would provide for him. I’m asking for you to pray for a miracle. We can pray that one of our Father’s rich kids can provide that miracle. This little Pakistani boy and his family’s hope is in Jesus.

God bless you.
