Shedding Light

“Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.'” (John 8:12NASB) Is this what you want? It is amazing! Come into the light and follow Him, He will show you what He wants you to see. Do you want to see? Maybe not! It’s a pretty sorry sight. Reminds me of an odd question Jesus asked regarding the coming of the Son of Man.

“And the Lord said, ‘Hear what the unrighteous judge said;  now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?'” (Luke 18:6-8NASB)

If all who called themselves Christians were following Christ they all would be Christians. Things would be amazing. Can you imagine all the love being poured out into the lives of those in need? And being loved back? Wow! Allowing ourselves to selflessly care? All the while  knowing that “caring” requires sacrifice, our time and even resources? Can you imagine people paying attention to each other? Risking it all to follow Christ’s leading. The light would be AMAZING!

I have seen the magnification of light when God’s children come together for the purposes of God. Men and women who are following Jesus accomplish the will of His Father. That is simply the way it is, or should be if you are following. “However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

Grace Believers Society USA/PAK is answering, “As long as there is life, yes!”  And it is the amazingly abundant life Christ promised. Our boast is in Jesus who shows us the way. When following its is easy to hear Him and know what He wants you to do. Jesus didn’t save us to be bench warmers. There is much to be done according to the will of our Father.

The grace of God is being poured out upon His children in Pakistan. Coming up will be a post or so describing the glory and the suffering. The word of the Lord is heard wherever it goes giving birth to faith. Now for a few days of rest. God bless you.
