The Bethlehem story.
Lots of angels flying around this time of year. They can’t help it. They are rejoicing as we humans commemorate a long ago event that happened in Bethlehem.
Scriptures record other things that have happened there, but none as joyful as the Savior’s birth. There was no joy the day Rachel died giving birth. Jacob cried in Bethlehem, she was the love of his life.
There was joy in one of Bethlehem’s fields when Naomi slept at Boaz’ feet. But I doubt that angels sang, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:14NASB)
May we all be reminded that God has shown “good will toward men.” Wouldn’t it be amazing if we all did the same? We might even see those angels!
