What Christ does, and why.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10 NASB) What must we do? For starters believe these truths. The Saved believe God’s word that reminds them that, “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore, keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1 NASB) We all know what ruled our life before Christ.
Beware of self-justification!
“You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.” (Galatians 5:4-6 NASB) Wow! “Severed from Christ!”
Saints are not saved by keeping the rules. They are saved because they believe God. They are being changed because they believe that God is speaking to them. Faith begins to express itself through thoughts and deeds. This fruit of God’s grace is our love. Love that grows as we are being “conformed to the image of His Son.” The fruit of Christ’s love is our salvation.
