Directions

Directions should be simple.

Well, they should be, and they are if we care to think about them. The trouble is, pride has a habit of misdirecting our thoughts. We then focus on ourselves. When it comes to faith that focus is useless.  We can’t drum-up enough faith to move a toothpick, never mind a mountain or a mulberry tree. What we see when looking at ourselves are doubts, and rightly so. Then we cry out, “Increase our faith!”

“The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’ And the Lord said, ‘If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.” (Luke 17:5-6 NASB)

It is not “size” that has significance, it is “kind” that matters. We have been misdirected, our focus was on how much faith we possessed. Faith’s focus is on Jesus whose power is without limits.  Jesus will always act according to His Fathers will. Faith focused on Jesus is faith in God’s mercy and love. He can do anything!
