It’s just a brick tower.
God knew it was time to stop mankind. Seen working shoulder to shoulder, pridefully trying to resist the will of God, men thought to make something of themselves. They didn’t want to be scattered to God knows where. They would determine the course of mankind. Or so they thought.
“The Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” (Genesis 11:6-7 NASB) So, “let Us” went down and scattered mankind.
How silly to think we can resist God’s will. It is best to seek it. Those who seek Him find Him and hear about their future life in the Millennium Kingdom. The curse of confusion will be lifted, and our lips purified. We will all have one Lord and one purpose, to serve Him.
“For then I will give to the peoples purified lips,
That all of them may call on the name of the Lord,
To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.” (Zephaniah 3:9 NASB)
Things that will be different.
“And many peoples will come and say,
‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
That He may teach us concerning His ways
And that we may walk in His paths.’
For the law will go forth from Zion
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 2:3 NASB) Not the usual church bible study.
Worship “And it shall be from new moon to new moon
And from sabbath to sabbath,
All mankind will come to bow down before Me,’ says the Lord.” (Isaiah 66:23 NASB) Seventh Day Adventists and Sunday Keepers will be on the same schedule.
“Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them. If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the Lord smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.” (Zechariah 14:16-18 NASB) God’s appointed days of commemoration are celebrations, and will not be optional.
Our spiritual life will be rich beyond imagination. What will our physical life be like? to be continued
