Because of Jesus
The Good news is, we are loved. We begin to realize God’s love as we hear and believe the gospel. A message that reveals God’s glory, and His love for each of us personally. With patience sufficient to lead, not drag, we are brought to repentance, that narrow door we enter through faith. God desire is to love the ones who love His Son. “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” (John 14:21 NASB) Thank God for His patience.
Hay, we do the best we can concerning love for God. I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t even coming close to meeting this commandment. “and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30 NASB) The best I could do was admit that I couldn’t. I needed Him to change me. And He is! So, I’m not ashamed of the gospel. Because of Jesus I know God’s love, and desire the same for everyone.
“Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,” (2 Timothy 1:8-10)
