Jacob’s Bones

The sovereignty of God is beyond question by any except fools. All of this is for His name’s sake. He has made His judgements and grace known to men who are without excuse. He has made His promises to Abraham, who has been patient in faith as he waits for that day. Jacob didn’t want his bones to be found in Egypt, so his children moved them. Jacob’s bones wait in the promise land.

“Your dead will live;
Their corpses will rise.
You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy,
For your dew is as the dew of the dawn,
And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.” (Isaiah 26:19 NASB)

Only fools would tell God, “No, You can’t.” “He said to me, ‘Son of man, can these bones live?’ And I answered, ‘O Lord God, You know’ Again He said to me, ‘Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.'” (Ezekiel 37:3-4 NASB) God can and will according to His word.

The times are changing. We are drawing closer to the day when my children cease to think I’m crazy. Many years ago, before this current chaos, reading the prophets, watching world politics while studying economics improved my vision. Problem is most people don’t read the prophets, nor do they understand the thinking of those who do. Well, I believe that is about to change. The important thing to remember is that God has sent a shepherd to guide us in the paths of righteousness.

A Psalm of David.
“The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.” (Psalm 23:1-3 NASB)
