Sealed in Him
Light entered darkness to give sight to the blind and freedom to those who believed. Jesus brought a message from His Father, good news to mortal man. Laws explained, God’s will revealed and a debt was paid. This is the gospel, God’s call to repentance and faith. His gracious gift is salvation. Eternal life, becoming like Jesus’, for those who believe.
“In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.” (Ephesians 1:13-14)
Jesus brought truth into the world exposing what was hidden in darkness. For us to have sight came at a cost to Him. Our turn.
