Virus Wisdom

You say you’re a Christian?

That is one of the ways Satan tempted Jesus.

 “Then the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written,
‘He will command His angels concerning You’;
and
 ‘On their hands they will bear You up,
So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.'”                                                    (Matthew 4:6 NASB, Psalm 91:11-12)

We only prove our foolishness when presuming on our relationship with God. “No harm will befall me, with Christ I’m brave. I can throw caution to the wind concerning this virus. Christ’s blood covers me and my family.”

That’s all good, but jumping in harms way, if it’s not necessary is presumptuous. No, it’s foolish.  Jesus did not deny Satan’s quotes. They are true, God will protect you as a father  protects his child.  But, on the other hand…..

“Jesus said to him, ‘On the other hand, it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.'” (Matthew 4:7 NASB, Deuteronomy 6:16)

Common sense. Model it.
