To be stronger than temptations
This is an essential request that we must ask Jesus. “Through the remembrance of Your word may we find strength to overcome this worlds allures, our cravings and the tempter’s enticements.”
No matter how much we have come to believe we are still flesh and subject to temptation. The Spirit must be our strong arm and God’s word our weapon. Ephesians 6:10-18 is intended for the warrior. Meditate on these words until they are understood and firmly secured in your heart. For in them is found the answer of our request.
“Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” (John 14:13-14 NASB)
