Liars deny the truth
Deniers that Jesus is God’s anointed, His promise Messiah, are called the antichrist. “Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.” (1 John 2:22 NASB)
Their father is the Devil
“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44 NASB)
They love their religions
Things to believe other than truth. “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. (1 Timothy 4:1-3 NASB)
The problem is this
We can’t believe a word they say. They are liars. This world is full of antichrists, and Jesus told us who’s their father. This is what we are up against: A world full of liars and a very active devil. Who are we to believe? That is obvious. Jesus. Satan’s traps are baited with lies. Hold fast to Scripture, feast on truth, then be fit to discern what is read or heard. These are perilous times.
