Weight of the World

Some are carrying more weight than others. From the weight of mocking to the weight of persecution. These things are not the weights Jesus will take from us when we come to Him, but He truly will give us rest. These same things happened to Jesus, and He is God’s Son. Those who carry the weight of the world are God’s sons and daughters. Listen! The apostle wrote these words for us to know.

“For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, ‘The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.’ (Psalm 69:9) For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” (Romans 15:3-4 NASB)

Those of the world have no respect for our Father, why do you thing they would treat His children differently? This, my brothers and sisters, is reality. Thankfully, those who are carrying great weight will be greatly rewarded. In the mean time let us rest in our hope found in these Scriptures.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,” (1 Peter 1:3-4 NASB)

The weight of this world is a small matter when considering our inheritance.

Of late my writing has been addressing those living in Pakistan, India and a few African nations. There is a need to encourage Christ’s church living in these places. I hope my WordPress readers will still find my writing worthwhile.
