Jesus gives meaning to the word “fear.
“Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28 NASB) Thankfully, those who believe Jesus are saved from hell. He bought us with His blood. The prophet Isaiah thought his sins were hidden, ours were crucified.
“Lo, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; It is You who has kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.” (Isaiah 38:17 NASB)
We have been saved from God’s wrath to come. Today we suffer the pharaohs, but without fear. We know the love of God.
“But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, To those who keep His covenant And remember His precepts to do them.” (Psalm 103:17-18 NASB)
A covenant of love with words instructing the living, all who belong to Christ. God’s abundant blessing on all my readers. I will be away for a while.
