Finding a cool spot on a hot day
Away from the heat of the day, and the troubles too, it is easy to dream of what could be, or fall asleep. Abraham dreamed, so did Jacob and Joseph and others. For all of us not blessed this way, we dream according to the Scriptures. All that God has promised will be true someday. Listen to what He promised His disciples.
“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:1-3 NASB)
We know Jesus will reign in Jerusalem, lots of prophecy to be fulfilled. “And Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel” (Matthew 19:28 NASB)
A righteous rule on planet earth. That is something to dream about! Imagine being in Jerusalem, at least once a year, and worshiping Jesus face to face. “Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths.” (Zechariah 14:16 NASB)
I pray that each of you will find your spot to dream how life will be someday. We have been blessed with a future received by faith. Search the Scriptures and discover truth worthy of your daydreams.
