Freedom of Religion

Why the U.S.A. was blessed.

In spite of the fact that all government is made of sinners, the U.S.A. was abundantly blessed by God. We were not all Christians, but the ones who were believed in godly  principles that were written into our constitution. The greatest of these being Freedom of Religion.

They knew that God does not forced Himself on anyone. The Creator draws souls into the light by hearing the gospel declared by His Son, Jesus. Truth has different effects on the ears. Most prefer the silence of conscience, and run back into the darkness. Some, through repentance and faith, enter into a relationship with God. Everyone knew something about Jesus. They knew where the houses of worship were, and they could come at anytime. It was up to them. Freedom of Religion: The ability to choose, and not be pressured or forced into submitting to another’s religious beliefs. The U.S.A. got it right, and God blessed us.

That was then, this is now, and the U.S.A. is no different than any of the rest. We abandoned our spiritual principles. We thought to dictate to the world. Our religion became our way of life, and we tried to force it on others. This same pride, that tried to control the will of other nations, now lives in a house divided, and is soon to fall. How do I know? Freedom of religion is on its way out.

We must now be correct in our thoughts, politically, socially and morally. Correct by who’s authority? Not God’s. No longer is their freedom of speech without consequence. The first to die was civility at the hands of hate. Other freedoms will be lost for the sake of conformity. For certain, the freedom of religion. All this because of pride exalting its ways over God’s ways.  He is aware of our condition. Our way of life has become our curse.

“For though the Lord is exalted,
Yet He regards the lowly,
But the haughty He knows from afar.” (Psalm 138:6 NASB)
