“Hear, my son, and accept my sayings And the years of your life will be many. I have directed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. When you walk, your steps will not be impeded; And if you run, you will not stumble. Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life.” (Proverbs 4:10-13 NASB)
“Hear, My son, and accept my sayings.” But most are too busy to hear, besides acceptance requires change, a change in direction, turning to God. Why is it so hard to do? To listen and obey is life. That is the way it has been from the time of Adam. My guess is that most have shut out the hearing of the word that called for change. “Repentance.”
God’s Spirit is searching for those who would stop and listen. The message is simple; Christ suffered and died, and rose again for mankind’s benefit. Angeles rejoice when one hears and accepts God’s gift of grace, eternal life. Hold fast to truth for truth is Spirit and life. “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.” (John 6:63 NASB)
The hearing and the accepting is for whosoever will. (John 3:16-21) God’s Spirit is searching. (John 4:23)
Amen
