David was Special

God is the Creator

And we cannot put limits on what and how God chooses to create. Even the whys and when are up to Him. Be certain that God accomplishes His will through creation. He willed a David.

“Yet You are He who brought me forth from the womb;
You made me trust when upon my mother’s breasts.
Upon You I was cast from birth;
You have been my God from my mother’s womb.”
(Psalm 22:9-10 NASB)

He willed a Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5 NASB) He willed a Judas, “Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the one whose price had been set by the sons of Israel; and they gave them for the Potter’s Field, as the Lord directed me.” (Matthew 27: 9-10 NASB)

King, prophet and traitor: Each a special creation to fulfill God’s eternal purpose, the salvation of mankind. Through faith, He now creates children who have been been miraculously called to believe in His Son, Jesus. Faith! “Many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22:14 NASB) His choice is obvious. Those who prefer Him over any other god. His is the glory received or rejected!

As for the saints who are in the earth,
They are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight.
The sorrows of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied;
I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood,
Nor will I take their names upon my lips.”
(Psalm 16:3-4 NASB)

I write to encourage others to receive God’s gift of grace. Love is offered. God’s rejection is to cling to the curse of death. As for this old man, I desired to be loved, and have come to know God. “The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You support my lot.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.”
(Psalm 16:5-6 NASB)
