Moses’ Song about Time

May God grant us the vision to see the timeliness and timelessness of this, His everlasting word. His breath eternal. May we understand His thoughts and ways to do them. His word always comes on time, if we take our time to hear it. Psalm 90 is about time. It ends this way.

“Do return, Lord; how long will it be?
And be sorry for Your servants.
Satisfy us in the morning with Your graciousness,
That we may sing for joy and rejoice all our days.
Make us glad according to the days You have afflicted us,
And the years we have seen evil.
Let Your work appear to Your servants
And Your majesty to their children.
May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us;
And confirm for us the work of our hands;
Yes, confirm the work of our hands.”
(Psalm 90:13-18 NASB)

No matter how long or difficult, servants stick with it. They believe! The more a Christian thinks about what they believe they cannot help but ask, “How long will it be?” Thank God for His grace, no matter the day we can be filled with joy, knowing that this life is not the life hereafter. In the mean time we get to be Christ’s servants. We are a witness to our children and blessed by our Lord, who in kindness, establishes our service to Him.

What ever it is we are called to do, we must remember that God is the One who called. That is amazing!
