Freedom

What does freedom mean to you?

“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1 NASB)

We were set free to walk in the spirit with God our Father. To live in His presence, aware of Him and enjoying the difference that agreeing with Him makes in our life. That is the freedom we now have as the children of God. We are free from the fear of death, unlike those who await judgement. Jesus’ death means life to us, He suffered and died in our place for our sin. We are forgiven and free to please God our Father.

Keep standing free of those things that once enslaved. In the spirit we are free to move forward. To believe in Jesus is to receive Him. He sets us free and gives us the right to become the children of God. Amazing stuff! “He came to His own, and His own people did not accept Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God.” (John 1:11-13 NASB)
