“Now as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘You must keep My Sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” (Exodus 31:13 NASB) Very clear who must keep the Sabbath, for how long and why. The Sabbath was made for man, and Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. I am not a Jew, it is a sign between them and God, but I love keeping the Sabbath. A day of rest. Most of the world goes without a day of rest. I am privileged.
The Sabbath is a sign between God and Israel. A requirement acknowledging that God set Israel apart. I love keeping the Sabbath as a day of rest. I know that the day is coming when keeping the Sabbath will once again be required. , “And it shall be from new moon to new moon And from Sabbath to Sabbath, All mankind will come to bow down before Me,” says the Lord.” (Isaiah 66:23 NASB)
In the mean time good men argue over the day to bow down. Every day is the Lord’s day, but I can tell the difference a day makes. Six days for labor and one for rest on the day that God blessed. It was a blessing to sit and watch a fire.
