We live in a word saturated with deceit. Who to believe? What to believe? Do you believe science? Whos science? Do you believe politicians? Which ones? What about Fact Checkers? Organizations? Preachers, teachers, councilors? Lots of folks saying different things and censoring those who say otherwise. Who and what do you believe? The wrong choice can lead to poverty, fear, destruction and even death.

Lots of liars in this world.

“Who is the liar except the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.” (1 John 2:22 NASB)

Jesus said this about the religious leaders of His day.

“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44 NASB)

The world is full of hypocrites.

“By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever follows His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says that he remains in Him ought, himself also, walk just as He walked.” (1 John 2:3-6 NASB)

Here lies the problem.

“We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” (1 John 5:19 NASB)

Here is the solution.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.”
(Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB)
