Trust the Lord

Time has passed, and I have been blessed in ways only older folks know. The ground has been watered by tears, and God’s seed has had time to sprout. Both grief and repentance have softened my soul. Faith in Christ is now the strength of my life.

I wrote those words before breakfast this morning. A short testimony of my faith in Christ to post before spending time on my outdoors projects. Today was repainting some things for our yard and garden. After a rainy winter the blessing of a sunny morning are magnified. Waiting for Vicki to return with more white paint gives me a chance to finish declaring what I know to be true.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord
And whose trust is the Lord.
“For he will be like a tree planted by the water,
That extends its roots by a stream
And will not fear when the heat comes;
But its leaves will be green,
And it will not be anxious in a year of drought
Nor cease to yield fruit.”
(Jeremiah 17:7-8 NASB)
