And so are you.
Man made sayings are often inspired by hell. Lots of examples where Satan has twisted the truth just enough to lead others astray. For instance, “God helps those who help themselves.” Worst yet is, “So heavenly minded that they are no earthly good.” Moses was called to a mountain. “Now Mount Sinai was all in smoke because the Lord descended upon it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the entire mountain quaked violently. When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him with thunder.” (Exodus 19:18-19 NASB) Christians have been called higher!
“And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, “I am terrified and trembling.” But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.” (Hebrews 12:21-24 NASB)
We need not be terrified and trembling, like Moses, nor should we be unaware of our calling. We SHOULD BE heavenly minded. Remembering Who has called us, and where He has called us to be is not a matter to be taken lightly. We have a heavenly Father Who has called us to be in His Son. His heavenly Son, without a doubt, has done the most earthly good than anyone. Let us be heavenly minded and do our Father’s will.
