The Hard Stuff

Let love be without hypocrisy.

To see Jesus is to be shown the Father whose love is without hypocrisy. He’s is not saying one thing and doing another. God’s love is beyond our imagination. Passion and fire and sacrifice all met at His alter. (Can you imagine His anger with those who reject His SON?) Let’s return to God’s love, a much nicer subject. It is almost unbelievable that the Holy Spirit would come to live in the likes of us. But He did! Do you see that this is the love God is seeking in His children. “Let love be without hypocrisy

Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.” (Romans 12:9-13 NASB)

No excuses! The poorest among us have time to give. “Fervent in spirit.” Wow! Do you suppose we are all guilty of quenching the Spirit? (Holding God’s love back.) Do you know what would be glorious? Seeing love, without hypocrisy, in the lives of everyone who calls upon the Lord. Not just the easy stuff.
